Three islands, three moods. Gili Trawangan is the busy one, and its tables run from Ijo, the candlelit fine dining room inside Pondok Santi Estate, to Francesco's Pizza opposite the market by the harbour. Jali Kitchen cooks rendang and pan Asian dishes on the quieter north side, Casa Vintage Beach does jerk chicken and fish curry next to Gili Teak, and Scallywags grills prawns and lobster on the southern shore facing Mount Rinjani.

Gili Air is calmer and eats well for its size. KAI, The Spice Table runs degustation menus built on the old Spice Route at Villa Tokay, Yanai cuts sushi and sashimi in a pared back room, and Mama Pizza started here before it opened in Kuta Lombok. Pachamama keeps the menu mostly plant based around a courtyard, and Mowie's puts beanbags on the sand facing Bali and Mount Agung.

Gili Meno is the quietest. BASK turns from beach club to serious fire kitchen, with house bread and dry aged beef. This is an early list, opening for diner votes, and positions cannot be bought.
