Best Restaurants in Kuta Lombok

Kuta Lombok has grown from a surf stop into the island's busiest place to eat, and most of it sits along Jalan Raya Kuta. El Bazar cooks Mediterranean and Moroccan dishes on a Santa Maria grill with a courtyard and a wine cellar out back. KRNK, next door, grills burgers at the street side and pours draught beer. Jiang Nan brings Sichuan heat, from cumin lamb noodles to mapo tofu, and Mama Pizza bakes sourdough in brick ovens under a mango tree.

Brunch is a serious business here. Bush Radio bakes its own sourdough in a warehouse, Kenza feeds surfers in one of the few air conditioned cafés in town, and Milk Espresso brews beans from Expat Roasters. Elamu cooks Greek food from a mother's recipes, and Markisa starts every meal with a whole loaf and olive oil.

For Indonesian food, Pawon Nusantara cooks rendang and ayam betutu, while Warung Flora, Warung Lamina and Warung Ombak keep prices low. Ashtari sits outside town on the road to Mawun. This is an early list, opening for diner votes, and positions cannot be bought.
