Best Restaurants in Selong Belanak

Selong Belanak is a wide curve of sand on Lombok's south west coast, and the places to eat here are few but well chosen. Codium sits on the beach in front of Tampah Hills and cooks line caught fish, local seaweed and seasonal vegetables over open fire, with more than twenty wines by the glass and counter seats facing the chefs. Laut Biru, the restaurant at Sempiak Seaside Resort, is built from driftwood on the sand, and its breakfast sets are the highlight.

Klub Kembali is the drinks stop: a craft cocktail bar inside a Javanese joglo, with an arak library and cocktails built on bandrek, wedang jahe and kecap manis. Three Sisters Dumpling Bar, down a quiet backstreet, steams beef and cabbage dumplings and serves chicken and ginger wontons in broth.

Folk Cafe sits on a hill above Pantai Lancing, about fifteen minutes west of Kuta, with specialty coffee, banana bread and no wifi on purpose. This is an early list, opening for diner votes, and positions cannot be bought.
