Best Asian Restaurants in Kuta Lombok

Five kitchens, and four of them are Indonesian. Pawon Nusantara is the most ambitious, a warm and homely room on Jalan Raya Kuta with a halal menu that travels the archipelago: rendang, tongseng, ikan bakar, ayam betutu and nasi bakar, with a spread of sambals. It is a short ride from the Mandalika circuit.
The warungs are where long stay travellers end up. Warung Flora gets busy at peak dinner time for ikan pepes cooked in banana leaf, ayam bakar taliwang and big plates of mie goreng. Warung Lamina does comfort food from a roadside spot on Jalan Pariwisata, with chicken drumsticks in a choice of sauces and a green juice of water spinach, lime and pineapple. Warung Ombak, run by a young team in Merendeng, keeps the menu short: nasi goreng with chicken skewers in peanut sauce and a tempeh burger.
Jiang Nan is the outlier, with Sichuan heat up on Jalan Raya Kuta. This is an early list, opening for diner votes, and positions cannot be bought.
