  If I could give Mama Pizza more than 5 stars I absolutely would. We went there for dinner twice throughout our stay on Gili Air, and it was absolutely terrific. The pizza was insane, and we don’t say that lightly. My partner is a bit of a pizza connoisseur as it’s his favourite food and he was blown away, said it was up there with the pizza he had in Italy. The bases were so light and didn’t make you feel bloated and overwhelmingly full. We got the Very Very Chicken and the Calzone Mama the first time, and when we went back we had to get the Calzone Mama again and the Buratta Pizza and they were all so good. We even had room for dessert, and the Nutella Calzone did not disappoint. Most of this review has been about the food but honestly the service was incredible and by far some of the best we’ve had on the island. Juliardo and Joel made themselves known to us and we ended up building a great rapport with them. All of the staff were so friendly and just soooo happy to be there, we sat there watching everyone running around and we just couldn’t wipe the smile off our faces. We HIGHLY recommend Mama Pizza and will definitely be returning the next time we come to Gili Air.

  Easily the best pizza we’ve had in Indonesia! We stopped by Mama Pizza for lunch and were blown away. The sourdough crust is perfectly chewy and charred, and the ingredients are clearly high-quality and fresh. ​The location is unbeatable—right on the sea with a gorgeous breeze and a relaxing atmosphere. The service was also top-notch; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. If you’re on Gili Air, this is a must-visit spot for a delicious meal with a view!

  We were recommended this place by a friend and, after seeing how busy it was, knew we had to check it out! We visited at peak dinner time and were lucky enough to grab a table for two, which was a great start. The menu had so many tempting options that it was hard to choose, but we eventually went for the Very Very Chicken and the Salame e Parmigiano pizzas. Both were absolutely delicious and packed full of flavour. You could really tell the ingredients were fresh and high quality. The pizzas were also a great size. I can rarely finish a whole pizza, but this one was so good that I just managed it! 😁 A fantastic pizza spot with great food and a lively atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a really good pizza place!

  You can dine inside or outside with some spectacular views of Lombok. We sat outside! After the friendly staff took our order, the food arrived exceptionally quickly-maybe too quickly! The food was as delicious as was expected (I ordered the same ‘Very-very chicken’ pizza in Kuta, Lombok; however they looked very different to each other). My wife chose the Tagliatelle alla bolognese. If you like beer, you have a choice of Bali Hai….and that’s it. I didn’t have a beer because I prefer every other beer to Bali Hai. Positives: beautiful setting, friendly staff, tasty food. Negatives: difficult to describe, but it felt like being in the cogs of a well oiled machine rather than a chilled relaxed restaurant. Finally, if you don’t like Bali Hai then come here for the food alone. Summary: great food and worth a visit.
