The longer of its two menus runs to five appetisers, ten nigiri and a signature dish, served across the counter by the chef himself. It was like being transported back to Japan. This one can rival some of the top sushi Omakase places in Tokyo. for Manila, its aesthetics are done very well first class all the way. Service was also top-notch. The chef was friendly and entertaining. He was able to explain more than 10 dishes that came out. Pro tip, order the TKG

Food is excellent. Service is excellent. The pacing is surprisingly on the dot for such a new restaurant. Unagi, kaki agedashi, tempura stand out for me. I think salt goes better with this style of tempura.

We had the omakase, and every course was wonderful. Starting with Chef Hino’s Lapu-Lapu carpaccio set the tone immediately—I had never experienced lapu-lapu prepared that way, having only had it fried or in sinigang before. It was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish and absolutely worth every penny.
