Loved our experience at Torikizoku! Even though we were 13th in line, the queue moved surprisingly fast, and the service was quick and efficient. The bonus crane game was such a fun touch and made the experience feel like being in Japan! So happy to finally have Torikizoku in the Philippines. Definitely worth checking out!

Fast, cheap and tasty, with good quality. Was very pleased by both the amount and options of food given the very inexpensive price.

Ordering through the kiosk was convenient, and the staff were very friendly. The food was served quickly without any delays, making the dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. The restaurant was also very cool and comfortable, so I would definitely love to come back again!

Do not hide this review. I will be very objective here with the review comparing it with my experience in other countries, especially the ones from Japan. Also prefacing that this is the first branch and just really opened. I hope they read this as I want them to succeed here and bring in more branches! [FOOD + PRICING] The food taste the same or close to other countries so they definitely remained faithful in bringing in the brand to Manila! Now, regarding the pricing - ¥410 is the current price in Japan and it's currently Php190 in the Philippines. That's a 30 pesos difference. Which, okay, makes sense in a way for some of the stuff probably being imported from Japan. However, what surprised me is that some of the food choices (Kizokuyaki) only came as one stick compared to other countries being two sticks per order. Also, genuinely, skip the "Others" in the menu -- their main selling point is literally the chicken for me. Quick menu is fine, I'm happy that they kept the unlimited refill for cabbage, the edamame could've been more. Specialties are good! Also, for Kamameshi, the crew instructs you to only open and touch once the fire goes out. Guys, here's my tip, open it around 10~15 minutes to mix it up to avoid getting things toasted. Something I was also really looking forward to was the Chicken Neck meat being different here in the Philippines vs other countries. You literally get just the chicken neck meat combined in Japan for example but here you're served literally two pieces of chicken neck that's broken into six pieces. I was genuinely hoping that this would be their "edge" or "ace" in penetrating the PH market comparing it to other "chicken bbq joints" let's say as that portion is savory and Filipinos do love chicken neck for many local dishes so having it barbequed would've been really good. Now, regarding the drinks. They're "nice" but given that I've tried them in other countries, I must say that the "portion" is small. The pint gives it an illusion that its big -- but the pints in other countries are bigger. Also, the entire drink is filled with ice so you guys probably already know where I'm going with this one. I'm happy that they're able to bring in Calpis to the Philippines though! GIVE US THE MEGA PINT. [SERVICE + ATMOSPHERE] It does look like 90% similar to other countries. Its their signature partitions and does give an Izakaya or pub feel into it. The service is great and I'm genuinely happy seeing that there are Japanese crew members onboarded as there are a lot of Japanese folks who were also dining in during my visit. I was able to luckily come over during a not so busy operating time but I did see that the crew are getting busy once all the tables got occupied and it took some time for my additional orders to arrive. The staff are trained with some Japanese language and the "hospitality" is there. [Comments + Suggestions] For the Torikizoku team, congrats in penetrating the PH market, but there's definitely a room for improvement as early as possible. The word of mouth marketing here in the Philippines is really high, especially for those who literally tried the place abroad. You guys might want to consider keeping it faithful and having the Kizokuyaki defaulted into two sticks. Also, give people the "rice serving" option similar to other countries. Give us that XL portion!! Absolutely consider finding a way to make the neck meat skewers popular here in the country -- don't give us the neck meat with bones because we aren't paying 190 pesos for two sticks of that. Also, as early possible, you guys might want to increase the sizes of your pints to be on par with other countries. If you guys are serious with bringing in the Izakaya/Pub experience here -- you guys better get people drunk for 190 pesos or else people will opt in to just drink and dine somewhere else. Lastly, don't go offering "Anniversary Special Promos" soon of finally getting two sticks for the price of 190 for the Kizokuyaki if its available all year round in other countries.
