  • Walking in simply felt very cozy and warm. The ambiance just puts you in a good mood. The staff greeting you politely from the minute you step inside. To begin our course we tried Esquites , a smoky charred corn with manchego cheese and let me tell you it is unique in its way. Very light and airy and then you get the hint of smokiness. Definitely a must try. Our next dishes were the shrimp tostada, tuna tostada along with the fish taco. We reordered the shrimp tostadas twice since they were our favorite. We paired the dinner with a South African red wine. For dessert we tried the Horchata ice cream and a coconut cake. Both desserts were delightful.

  • Los Tacos MNL offers a vibrant, fresh, and modern take on Mexican street food in Manila. Among the menu highlights, the fish tacos stand out with their perfectly crisp batter and fresh toppings, delivering a satisfying mix of flavors and textures in every bite. The campechano taco is another favorite, featuring a savory blend of meats that showcases the kitchen’s expertise in balancing bold, smoky, and juicy elements. The flautas are crispy and flavorful, while the shrimp tacos are fresh and packed with a zesty kick—both are must-tries for taco lovers. The empanada is exceptionally good, and the grilled corn, though a bit spicy for my taste, adds a bold touch to the meal. To finish, the toasted rice ice cream is creamy, subtly nutty, and not overly sweet, making for a unique dessert that ties the meal together. Los Tacos MNL is a must-visit for anyone craving top-notch tacos and inventive desserts. We look forward to experiencing their dinner menu on our next visit.

  • In Asia, I find it absolutely strange that places serving Mexican tacos are mostly higher end restaurants or eateries. When in fact, Mexican tacos are iconic street food in Mexico, just like Sisig and rice in the PH… 🤔 If I am to rate the culinary delights that I had eaten and my experience at Los Tacos, then I would regard them as Los Taco’s own independent restaurant “creations”, and that I ate at an extremely dimmed-out high end restaurant filled with yuppies and kids with too much money for their own good! (OK, sour grapes here…) 😂😂😂 But, not as Mexican tacos or that I had eaten at a Mexican taquerias (which Los Tacos would then fail miserably). As independent restaurant creations, I enjoyed the culinary delights that my Filipino friends had selected—artisanal tacos and tostadas, a botanas of delicious shrimps, and a ceviche (which I found to be more Peruvian). Each tasted fresh and somewhat healthy… (If they were Mexican tacos, top points for freshness, but 0 points if healthy…) 😂😂😂 Delicious, but not mind-blowing. My favourites were the shrimps, ceviche and that wonderful plate of extremely well-cooked meat dish (I think it was Iberico pork, but I stand corrected if not) flooded with what I believed was either Mexican mole, or a fantastic Adobo-like gravy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Because the restaurant is so freakishly dimmed out as if the diners were all vampires afraid of light, it was difficult to personally see each of the dishes put on the table, and what I was about to put in my mouth… 😂😂😂 I saw them through the snapshots from my iPhone, which I had to painstakingly hold still when taking the shots. And boy, it wasn’t easy to hold a conversation in this establishment, nor be able to hear the service staff very well… Geez, I am showing my age… 😂😂😂 Oh, no San Miguel beer? 🤔 Overall, a great experience if dining with friends, or perhaps if dining out with a date where both don’t mind shouting and spitting at each other’s face… 😂😂😂
