Top Places in Senggigi
Senggigi is quieter than Kuta Lombok, and its restaurants are spread out, so plan the ride. On the main strip, Pasta Pojok has been the casual Italian choice for a long time, with homemade pasta, wood fired pizza and plenty of guests who come back on the same trip. Square Restaurant & Lounge cooks beef tenderloin, lamb kofta and duck confit beside Indonesian favourites, and will build a tasting menu around a dietary need. Asmara Restaurant is a long standing garden room where the service is warm. A few minutes inland, Dapur Ina is a simple warung in a village, cooking fresh in an open kitchen: sate Rembiga, ayam taliwang and plecing kangkung with real heat, found mostly by word of mouth. The resort restaurants face the water. Senja at the Sheraton is named for the colour of the sky, Qerang on Mangsit Beach cooks the catch alongside imported steaks, and Kokok Pletok sits under a giant rooster on Sire Beach at Hotel Tugu Lombok. This is an early list, opening for diner votes, and positions cannot be bought.
