A well-deserved three-star Michelin Chinese restaurant. We originally came mainly for dim sum, but quickly ended up ordering several more dishes once we saw the menu. We ordered the shrimp dumplings, chicken soup with fish maw, steamed rice rolls with shrimp, pan-fried rice rolls with Forum’s signature sauce, and deep-fried pork and shrimp dumplings. For appetizers, we tried several of their signature items: pan-fried cuttlefish cake, deep-fried stinky tofu, and Hong Kong–style roast pork. We also ordered the chicken wing stuffed with shark’s fin, along with their famous roasted chicken with incredibly crispy skin. Every dish showed remarkable attention to detail, from texture to presentation, and it was easy to understand why the restaurant has earned its Michelin reputation. Of all the dishes we ordered - the cuttlefish cake stood out the most for me today.
5.0Borderlessfoodie· 4 months agoCourteous service. Traditional dim sum lunch. The BBQ bun was the best I have had, ie chunky filling under an ultra thin skin. The dessert red bean soup was stunning. Fragrance of mandarin orange peel and a grainy texture. Excellent wine menu that featured the rare Domaine Takahiko from Yochi. Overall, the most affordable Michelin 3 stars experience.
5.0Daniel Yeung· 4 months agoWe came here to try the famed Ah Yat abalone. Having been to other 3 stars restaurant, I agree with some other reviews / comments that this place falls short of the standards of other 3 stars places. The saving grace was really their famed abalone dish, and I can understand the hype around it. If you intend to come here, I would recommend you to get the abalone dish and order ala carte for the rest.
4.0Alvin Choo· 10 months agoThis time we three of us just had dim sum. A deposit of $300 each is required for the booking and the average price per head was about $500. I was very happy with their excellent taste that is really different from the others (dim sum). And the sweet and sour ribs was the best. 😋 Yummy. Unfortunately, just a table across the room there were 4 decent women at their middle age speaking in a loud voice that everyone in the room knows what happened in their families but unwillingly. 🙄
