12 years of Michelin recognition. Super legendary juicy roasted goose! I had an overnight layover at HK and went out to the city just for this, worth the trip! Waiting time was about 20minutes on a Monday night, 7pm. The famous fatty char siews tastes very good. However, I am not keen about fatty parts of the pork, so I couldn't enjoy it to the fullest. Would recommend the lean char siew if you are not into fat meat too. Would be really nice if they can expand the business to have more seatings. ☺️ Staffs are friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant experience!
5.0Amber PF Mak· 2 months agoI really wanted to love Kam’s Roast Goose, but the experience was a massive letdown. While the food is "decent," it certainly doesn't justify the logistical nightmare and the lack of respect for sit-down diners. The Service & Wait Time Expect to wait over one hour just to get a seat. Normally, a wait like that implies an incredible reward at the end, but the service here is surprisingly dismissive and rude. The staff seem more interested in rushing you through the process than providing a hospitable environment. The "Takeaway" Problem The most infuriating part of the experience was finding out that most of the signature dishes were sold out by the time we were seated. It turns out they prioritize high-volume takeaway orders over the customers who have been standing on the sidewalk for 60+ minutes. If someone commits an hour of their day to wait for a table, the restaurant should ensure a portion of the signature items is reserved for dine-in guests. It’s poor inventory management and even poorer customer service. The Food As for the main event: the Roast Goose. It was okay, but honestly? It was completely overpowered by the sauce. The delicate flavor and texture of the goose—which is what you’re paying a premium for—get lost under a heavy, salt-forward glaze.
3.0Mick T· 5 months agoNothing can beat a roast goose with tender juicy meat and crispy skin. The seasoning was well balanced. We also had roast pork and char siu. Both had very good texture and the seasoning was not as salty as what you find in other Cantonese roast meat joints. Just as praise worthy was the special noodles which had a perfect bite. The wait staff might come across as a bit rude but it's actually their down to earth style. They were very helpful to us. The wait could be long because there's only a small number of tables and each table gets 60 minutes after ordering. The suckling pork was already sold out at 6pm when we went so you might have to go earlier if you want that.
5.0Debbie Li· 3 months agoGood food. Roast goose is crispy and savory. Ate during dinner time on a weekday. The place is packed with people but they give you a queue number and you can also reserve the goose portion beforehand. Since the space is small, be prepared to eat together with other diners.
