[ Three-Michelin-Starred Luxury in Central 🥂 Caprice’s Stunning Victoria Harbour Seaview Lunch — Perfect for Anniversaries 🌊 ] We celebrated our anniversary at Caprice at the Four Seasons Hotel. The ambiance was incredible, and we were lucky to get the requested seaview seating with a breathtaking panorama of Victoria Harbour. 🥳 The service was top-notch and struck the perfect balance—warm and attentive without being overbearing. The staff were all smiles, proactively took photos for us, and even prepared a lovely custom anniversary plate surprise. 🌟 While many think three-star dining is just an overpriced vibe, this lunch menu truly lived up to its price tag. The Duck Foie Gras Terrine was incredibly velvety, and the Shrimp Bisque Soup was an absolute favorite—so intensely rich. For mains, both the Wild Caught Fish and Grilled Yellow Chicken were cooked to perfection. The Rhubarb Confit Tart and Valrhona Chocolate Ganache with refreshing dill sorbet provided a spectacular finish. 🍓 A great bonus was the professional sommelier introducing unique wine pairings with distinct flavors rarely found elsewhere. It is definitely a splurge, but with its exceptional service, unbeatable view, and culinary finesse, it is highly recommended. 🍷
5.0Liu Liu· 3 months agoWalking into Caprice, the first thing that grabbed my attention is the breathtaking view of Victoria Harbour. By the time lunch was over, I realised the view was only the beginning. Though Chef Guillaume Galliot wasn't in the kitchen that afternoon, Chef Suveg brought his menu to life beautifully. There was so much love, care and quiet magic in every plate that arrived at the table. The experience began with beautifully presented amuse-bouches in a jewellery box, followed by one of the finest bread services I have enjoyed. Every course that followed celebrated the ingredient rather than trying to overpower it. The summer tomatoes with burrata were fresh and full of flavour, the Brittany blue lobster was cooked to perfection, sweet and succulent, the wild-caught fish was delicate and elegant, and the beautifully roasted lamb was comforting yet refined. The meal was complemented by thoughtful wine pairings, beginning with the elegant Henri Giraud Blanc de Craie Brut N.V., followed by the expressive Central Otago Schisteux La Ferme de Sato 2022, and finishing with the beautifully complex Escalada Do Bibei by Alberto Orte from Valdeorras (2018). Each wine enhanced the dish it accompanied without ever taking the spotlight away from the food. Just before dessert came a wonderfully refreshing palate cleanser of strawberry with yogurt and delicate strawberry pops, a light, vibrant interlude that perfectly reset the palate before the sweet finale. The almond soufflé was the perfect ending, followed by delicate petit fours that ensured the meal finished on the same high note it began. What truly makes Caprice exceptional, however, is how beautifully everything comes together. The service team and sommeliers explained every ingredient, every wine and the thought behind each pairing with such passion and detail. It never felt rehearsed; it felt genuine, and their enthusiasm added another layer to an already exceptional experience. A beautifully rounded experience where the breathtaking views, exceptional cuisine, impeccable wine pairings, warm hospitality and flawless service came together to create a truly memorable meal.
5.0Yogita Uchil· a month agoFood is 5 out of 5 and the presentation/plating was perfect. The food offering is original and some are great takes on traditional French Cuisine like the hot and cold French Onion Soup and the soufflé is the best I had anywhere in the world. I was a little on the fence about giving this a 4 star but I would say the issues I saw were with other tables/guests. I would like to say my experience was great and they were very attentive providing a 3 Michelin Star level service. However, I saw other tables not get the same level service (although minor) and the ambiance that was created by one specific table. The service gap I saw was that the plates were not presented simultaneously amongst all guests at another table and I did not see any reason why they didn’t. They were a respectful group and I couldn’t notice anything they did to tick off the staff. The other main thing was there were these two social media influencers dining across from me and it was hard to watch them “do their thing” while at this type of establishment.
