  • A must try! One of the Filipino restaurants that represent the southern regions of the Philippines. The experience is great, atmosphere captures and represents Southern Mindanao culture. I hope to see more and more regions in the Philippines represented here in the Manila. The food is excellent. Not your typical food in the manila. The good was very coconut and spice heavy which is not typical for Luzon dishes. I can see the influence by Malaysian cuisine. But the heart is still very Filipino. We had the sampler and my favorite is the tiyula itum. The broth is fragrant and full of flavorful umami beefiness. It’s the kind of hearty soup that heals one’s soul. I will definitely go back to Palm Grill once again.

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Incredible Taste of Southern Mindanao! If you want to experience the rich and complex flavors of Southern Mindanao, Palm Grill is an absolute must-visit. We decided to go all out and ordered the Dulang, their royal banquet tray, and it was a spectacular culinary experience from start to finish. The tray was a magnificent feast that gave us a perfect tour of their best dishes: Tiyula Itum & Pianggang Manuk: The use of burnt coconut gave both the black beef soup and the chicken a deep, smoky, and earthy flavor that was incredibly unique and comforting. Belachan Manuk & Beef Kurma: The shrimp paste chicken was packed with savory umami, while the beef kurma was melt-in-your-mouth tender, swimming in a rich, aromatic spiced sauce. Puso ng Saging & Turmeric Rice: The banana heart cooked in rich coconut milk and spices was creamy and perfectly balanced the heavier meats. Everything was tied together perfectly by the fragrant cup of turmeric rice, which soaked up all the delicious sauces. To cap off the heavy, spice-rich meal, we ordered the Vanilla Hinti for dessert, and it was the absolute perfect ending. The warm hinti (sweetened, toasted coconut meat) paired beautifully with the cool, creamy homemade vanilla ice cream. The contrast of temperatures and the comforting, familiar flavor of the sweet coconut brought the whole dining experience full circle. Every single element we ordered was packed with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The presentation of the Dulang alone made us feel like royalty. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to expand their culinary horizons and enjoy an unforgettable Mindanaoan meal!

  • The Pianggang Rice meal was excellent. The dark sauce on the chicken was burnt coconut. The eggplant was sour and spicy. The ginger soup was spicy. The order time was 20 minutes. Friendly, patient service, explaining the dishes. I was offered a choice for which part of the chicken I wanted. A drink is not included in the meal. I would definitely go back.

  • This Michelin-rated restaurant offers a truly immersive experience that feels like a trip to Southern Mindanao, complete with the beautiful sounds of kulintang instrumental music in the background. The standout for me was the Beef Kurma, which was a perfect 10/10, especially when paired with their fragrant yellow rice cooked in coconut milk. While the Tiyula Itum and Pianggang Manok are clearly crowd favorites, they didn't quite suit my personal palate. I also found the Chicken Satti to be unexpectedly sweet, as I was anticipating a flavor profile closer to a traditional Ayam Satay (not familiar with the tausug food). Beyond the food, the hospitality was excellent; the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained.
