  • IG: @melvineateat 8/10 $$ (5000 THB++ per pax) Overall: 8/10 (1 Michelin Star) This season’s menu draws inspiration from Northern Thai cuisine, spotlighting regional ingredients. Most of the dishes are creative and thoughtfully plated, offering a refreshing take on traditional flavours. That said, a few courses leaned a little too heavily in one direction, with flavours getting quite intense and not for everyone. Still, a unique and memorable experience that showcases a strong culinary identity with confidence. Standouts — the quail egg rice roll where the yolk just bursts, and the starfruit salad, perfectly balanced and super refreshing. The lobster roll was well executed, but some dishes like the cuttlefish roll felt a bit dry. Mains were solid — especially the Panang prawn, rich with roe — plus an off-menu fried prawn that was crispy and packed with umami. They even serve a banana moonshine before dessert — strong but surprisingly smooth. Dessert was great, especially the fried donut.

  • Yummy deep dive into Isan cuisine paired with local sato and mead. The staff presentations for each dish was the highlight, loved to get to know each fresh herb and spice with a platter of samples and the book of references and recipes. Any way to buy copies? Given the tight pace and complexity of dishes the service was incredibly warm as well. Looking forward to returning and learning even more!

  • Thai style Omakase Followed my two bros who have been there for 2 times. Together with me 3rd time. For them all menu changed and food was different. For me this time, starters with fish dishes were good. Mains came was getting saltier & saltier (maybe that’s why rice was given and served unlimited if you can eat more) Portion was ample and filling. However, regret to go for their rice wine pairing. 1st glass nice, 2nd glass well …. 3rd glass I really don’t know what kind of pairing is that. Maybe I don’t know how to appreciate it. Overall can try but booking is highly recommended

  • Having returned for our third visit, the conclusion remains undeniable: this is Thai flavor at its absolute zenith. Samrub Samrub Thai isn't just a restaurant; it’s an evolving dialogue with Thailand’s culinary history, and we will continue to return every single time we are in Bangkok. The Heart of the Experience: Chef Prin & Mint What truly makes every visit remarkable is the incredible duo at the helm. Chef Prin Polsuk and his wife Mint have created a space that feels less like a world-class restaurant and more like an intimate dinner party in a friend’s private kitchen. The Complexity: Chef Prin excavates ancient recipes, delivering a masterclass in the balance of sour, sweet, salty, bitter, and spice. The Heat: Unapologetic and structural. The spice is never gratuitous; it is woven into the soul of every dish. This is the gold standard of Thai dining. It is raw, refined, and deeply emotional. To Prin and Mint: thank you for unforgettable evenings. See u again.
