5.0Sophie Digby· 2 months agoThe service at Della Terra was, without a doubt, the greatest dining experience I have ever had. From the very first moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into someone's home rather than simply walking into a restaurant. We had made a reservation, and to my amazement, the doorman greeted me by name before warmly welcoming us inside. Instantly, I knew this place was something special. We were graciously escorted to our table by the wonderful front-of-house team and immediately offered sparkling water with our choice of lime, lemon, or orange (a small touch, but one that perfectly set the tone for what was to come). Then we met our incredible server, Sastra, whose warmth and passion elevated the evening even further. He explained that the menu changes daily depending on what the chefs discover at the farmers market. How beautiful is that? Every dish tells a story, every ingredient has a purpose, and every visit becomes completely unique. It immediately reminded me of the later episodes of the cooking drama show “The Bear”, where hospitality isn't just service, it's an art form, where ingredients are treated with reverence, and every guest is made to feel like the most important person in the room. Now, the food. The marinated tomatoes are absolutely unforgettable, bursting with freshness and perfectly complemented by the beautifully marinated olives. The house bread, served warm from the oven with their Pomonera dip, was perfect - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and so fresh right out of the oven. But the true masterpiece was the Lasagna Fritta. Compliments for Chefs. Having the chance to speak with Chef Vinny and learn that this extraordinary dish was created as an homage to his mother made every bite even more meaningful. It is, without question, the tastiest lasagna we have ever eaten. To finish, Della Terra treated us to their house-made Digestivi Sombucha, and what a spectacular ending it was. Refreshing, delicious, and the perfect final note to an unforgettable symphony of flavors. I cannot recommend Della Terra highly enough. This is where you bring your parents when you want to show them somewhere truly exceptional. This is where you take the love of your life before asking the biggest question you'll ever ask. This isn't just dinner, it's an experience you'll be talking about to your family, friends, and even strangers (that is how we found out about Della Terra). Bravissimo, Della Terra. Every single person on your team should be proud.
5.0Andrew S· 2 months agoI've dined at some of the best restaurants in Milan, and none come close to Della Terra in Bali. The service is impeccable. The staff, Avi, Liz and even the head chef/owner Vinny, remembered tiny details about us from the moment we were seated. And the food. S-tier. From the tasteful incorporation of local flavours and ingredients, to the impeccable execution - it's hard to ask for more. Nothing on the menu is a lazy imitation, or an afterthought here. Unlike many restaurants in Bali, service of the antipastis and mains was fairly quick - which all points to a well-oiled operation. The negroni and wine menu was also excellent. Dessert is usually some outsourced, store-bought, random pastry and ice cream. But the brown butter apple pie and gelato were extraordinary. Even after stuffing our faces with all the mains. We ended with a sambuca, a perfect nightcap. Will it win a feature in the Michelin Guide or make a top ten TimeOut listicle? It should. But, after dining at Della Terra, you'll leave wondering why any of those mattered in the first place.
