All the food exceeded my expectations. I’m going to be dreaming about this food or at least looking for food this good. This is honestly one of the best tasting food I’ve had and I love it. The appetiser blew us away. We never expected tomato and burrata to taste so well. We had the carbonara and the beef Ragu pasta and the way they were made was so amazing. The Ragu was so soft and flavourful the carbonara was crafter so beautifully. The ambience was lovely. Ari was so patient and amazing. She explained all the courses and even arranged for a cake for my fiancé as it was his birthday. Lovely place everyone should try the food here. They even had pre dinner snacks and palate cleansers. Pleasant surprise.
5.0marissa lavanya· 4 weeks agoFantastic food! We had an amazing experience at Mauri. Every dish was absolutely delicious. Our server, Padma, was attentive, kind, patient, and made us feel so welcome. The service was exceptional. We would definitely come back and highly recommend Mauri to anyone looking for an outstanding meal in Bali!
5.0Esperanza Garcia· 2 months agoHonestly conflicted about my meal at Mauri. On the one hand, the service was excellent - really hospitable, top tier. The amount of food on offer, with plenty of amuse bouche and petit four plus the lovely limoncello at the end made for a very generous meal. We felt very much taken care of during our dining experience. The service staff really was on point throughout the evening. We had the signature tasting menu + the wagyu add on and the dish was excellent and the best one in the entire meal. If you come here, do get the add-on. The setting was also lovely. Some things that made me feel the food could be better: 1) The amuse bouche of the burrata and mortadello ham was nice, but there were too many breads in the beginning. While I loved the focaccia, bread sticks, and sourdough (this was my favorite), I felt overstuffed with breads. The other amuse bouche were good, especially the cigarette roll with tartare inside. 2) The beginning of the meal was too "parmesan forward" if there is a term like this, and hits very similar notes across dishes. We had an amuse bouche of an egg custard with parmesan foam, then the focaccia with olives and tomato. This was followed by the parmesan ravioli and atlantic cod fish dish with tomatoes and olive powder with capers. They hit the same flavor profiles. It got a bit tiring tasting the same flavor notes twice, twice! By then, more than half the meal was done, but it felt like we had been tasting parmagianno, tomatoes, olives, and capers across multiple dishes. The best tasting menus usually take you through a journey of different flavors, and I felt that it was lacking here. 3) That is why when the wagyu dish came, it was such a breath of fresh air. The steak was perfectly done, and really really tasty. More than that, having a mixture of flavours from the ratatouille tart and smoked celeriac that moved away from parmesan, olives, and tomatoes was really refreshing. 4) Dessert was excellent. Really loved the tiramisu done tableside. They followed up with nice petit fours, surprise limoncello, and a lovely gift at the end. Overall, the setting was lovely, service impeccable, and if they can improve the food a little, this would be a five-star meal. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed myself, but thought it would have been even better if the flavours danced on my palate!
4.0Andrew Yee· 3 months agoAmazing experience, we came on a Sunday morning when they serve a coursed menu for breakfast/Lunch. It is absolutely an experience not just a meal, I will attach the menu we were offered but I believe it changes often. Everything we ate was amazing but we were especially impressed with the service. Our server Bima was torough and considerate, he was always available and glad to answer questions and the chef came by to ask if we were enjoying our meal. Our server also noticed we were getting very full and gave us a little extra time between courses so that we would be able to eat and enjoy dessert. Amazing place and beautiful inside as well, I would recommend wearing light colors to match the beautiful interior. Also pictured is the dessert tray that also looked and tasted fantastic.
