Walked at 10:50am and saw a few people started queuing outside this udon shop, which was an indication of a restaurant with good reputation. They used an electronic queuing system, so don’t miss registering at the machine by the entrance. While queuing, the staff came to check my reservation number and took my orders. When the seat was available, the staff showed me in. Liked most noodle shop in Japan, the sitting space was tight. Within couple of minutes, my food orders came. They were so nicely presented. I had never been an udon person but their udon was at the right lived of chewiness. Their price seemed to be at the high side, but I think it’s worth it. I’ll definitely come back.
5.0PAUL G· 3 months agoOpens at 11am however you can get the queue ticket earlier than that from the kiosk outside the shop then come back later. Went over at ~1030am on a Saturday morning expecting there to be a long queue but surprisingly there were only two other pairs in line hence we managed to get seats easily The signature carbonara udon is definitely packed full of flavours all thanks to the amount of butter and cheese that they add into the mix, but it can also get a bit surfeiting especially if you’re not a big eater. For me the tempura bacon stands out more than the carbonara itself as it’s crispy but not overly oily Definitely a place to try at least once when you’re in Tokyo. May be worth coming back more than once depending on the queue for that day and how much you like the food
4.0Ong Yihao· 2 months agoSmall place, but definitely worth the wait. We queued for about 20 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all considering how popular it is. The Carbonara Udon was amazing—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. We ordered the version with the bacon tempura, and the bacon serving was surprisingly generous and crispy. We also tried the cheese tempura, which was a great side and complemented the udon really well. If you’re in Tokyo and craving a unique take on udon, this place is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary.
5.0Caren Aguado· 3 months agoI was seriously unimpressed with both the food and the waiting experience to eat here. Like I'm sure everyone else did, I found this place on TikTok. Seeing as so many other people off the platform had good experiences, we decided to try it out. When you arrive theres a ticketing system where they call you to come back, and if you don't arrive within 30 minutes you forfeit your place in line. What they don't tell you is that they're calling you to come wait in line again, which is first come first served. It was absolutely pouring rain and this restaurant is located on a tight street with trucks driving up and down it splashing you. I got the most recommended dish, the carbonara. I could only finish about 30% of it. Legitimately all I could taste was butter, nothing else. There was so much butter inside I started to throw up from acid reflux on the train ride later. The thing that showed me that this was marketed solely towards tourists and TikTok wasn't just the line outside, or the abnormally high prices, but the fact there was a tip box with "Tips appreciated" written in English on the front counter. Don't waste your time coming here just because you saw it online. There are many more great udon places in the area, with better prices, that don't try to clog your arteries.
