  • Visited in Jun 2026 Ended up dining at Rumari twice during my recent trip to Bali. Located within the gorgeous and sprawling Raffles Bali premises, Rumari is a fine dining establishment par excellence. I was able to get reservations on the same day as I went but that was because I probably visited just before the peak tourist season in Bali. There is a tasting menu and an a-la-carte menu depending on your preferences. There are in fact 2 tasting menus - a vegetarian one and a non-vegetarian one. Both menus are 5 course menus, with the non-vegetarian menu having the option to add an additional course. I went with the non-vegetarian tasting menu with the additional course, and it turned out to be a good choice. The overall dining experience was excellent - from the quality of the ingredients to the flavour profiles to the progress of the courses to the plating & presentation. The beef main course was fantastic. If you’re in the restaurant early enough in the evening, the sunset views from the place are gorgeous too. Service was top notch. The staff and the chef are very nice folks who take care of their guests in the kindest manner possible. Overall, if you’re looking for a A+ fine dining destination in Uluwatu, this is it. A 100% recommendation.

  • We had an amazing dining experience at Rumari during our stay at Raffles Bali, definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The Secret Cave dinner was truly something special. The setting was intimate and magical, perfect for celebrating a special occasion. Each course was beautifully presented and felt like a piece of art. We especially loved the concept, using ingredients like onion, beetroot, potato, and ginger, and transforming them into creative, refined dishes. Everything tasted just as good as it looked. We also really appreciated their 80/20 philosophy for the fine dining menu, where most ingredients are sourced locally. It’s great to see a restaurant supporting local farmers while still delivering such a high level of quality and creativity. A big shoutout to Ratih, who was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout the dinner, she truly made the experience even more memorable. It was also nice to see Chef Gaetan personally greeting guests and introducing the dishes, which says a lot about the team’s passion and culture. We had breakfast here every day as well, and it was consistently excellent. The à la carte menu offered great variety, and every dish was delicious and beautifully presented, honestly better than many restaurants outside the resort. Special thanks to Ikhsan, Imelda, and Widya for always being so attentive and friendly in the mornings. Overall, Rumari is a must-visit if you’re staying in Bali. Great food, beautiful setting, and amazing service all around.

  • I had the pleasure of trying the new counter concept at Rumari, where the menu is shaped by the day’s freshest produce from the restaurant’s local vendors, and limited only by the guest’s appetite and allergies. Think Omakase but centred around Bali’s trove of seafood and speciality meats (like the George pork) - all presented on beautiful tableware with the chef plating it with precision. My biggest joy here is not just the views and the incredible flavours, but how involved Chef Mahmud is in actively curating the experience to our liking, checking on our appetites and thoughts to further guide his following dishes. Safe to say, I’ve yet to experience this level of customisation elsewhere - especially from a team that worked in such seamless harmony. The Michelin guide hasn’t arrived in Indonesia yet but this is a shoo-in for at least a star. It already boasts multiple other awards but the proof is in the pudding. Visit before the crowd descends for this exceptional culinary experience.

  • Even if you're not staying at Raffles, Rumari is definitely worth the trip. I actually ended up eating here two days in a row! The food is genuinely delicious. It does a fantastic job blending local Indonesian flavors with modern Western cuisine. The service is also wonderful — they remembered my dining preferences by my second visit, which felt really welcoming. The only minor drawback is the wine, as it doesn't offer great value for money. But strictly speaking for the food and the overall dining experience, it is highly recommended!
